First elected to in 2007 representing Onehouse Ward. Re-elected in 2011, 2015, 2019 again in May 2023.

  • John is Chair of the Audit & Standards Committee
  • John served as a member of a planning committee throughout this period
  • He has previously served as a member of the former Environment Policy Panel, on Licensing Committee, for four years, as Vice-Chair of the Scrutiny Committee, and 2 terms on the Suffolk Standards Board
  • John has been instrumental in many developments within the district including bringing a new NHS dentist to Stowmarket, improving cycle-paths and bus routes, and campaigning for improvement to Needham Market Station
  • John has lived in Suffolk for many years, most recently in Finborough and now in Needham Market
