Green Party candidate to be long-standing Eye resident and former Mayor, Simon Hooton.

16 March 2017

Following the resignation of Councillor Charles Flatman, the Green Party has called for an election to ensure the town of Eye will soon be represented by an elected councillor again.

In the by-election, expected to be held on May 4th, the Green Party candidate will be long-standing Eye resident and former Mayor, Simon Hooton.

Following their success in the only recent District Council by-election, when Anne Killett won the Barking and Somersham Ward, the Green Party are confident of a strong showing for this local candidate to join their team of 6 on the District Council.
