Housing Land letter

13 June 2018

Dear Sir

It is understandable that some residents and Parish Councils are concerned their villages are subject to Rachel Eburneinappropriate speculative housing development. This is a direct result of the lack of a five-year housing land supply in Mid Suffolk. In 2014 the Green Group at Mid Suffolk District Council uncovered this issue and called for measures to prevent this happening. We have been pressing for effective action ever since. This year, one of our long-standing proposals to improve the situation is finally being taken forward but much more should be done. I urge you to contact your district councillor to ask what they as an individual are doing towards solving the problem of the five-year housing land supply.
Yours sincerely,
Rachel Eburne
Leader - Mid Suffolk Green Party
