The Green Party aims to improve lives of people of all genders. We recognise ‘men’ includes cis and trans men, ‘women’ includes cis and trans women, non binary genders are valid and intersex people deserve autonomy.
We are dismayed by the reports that the Government is looking to roll back rights for trans people particularly trans women.
Despite 70% out of over 100,000 responses supporting that we follow other countries by removing barriers for trans people getting formal recognition, there is apparently a criticism that the consultation was too focused on trans rights, securing too many responses from trans people and their allies through trans organisations.
