Parties welcome progress with Regal redevelopment

As the Stowmarket Regal project moves forward, Green and Liberal Democrat councillors greet progress warmly.

Green Party town councillor Miles Row said,

It is great to see such progress made with the project so far despite the exceptional difficulties of recent months. I would like to particularly pay tribute to Mixbrow Construction for the quality of their work, and also to the entire cross-party project team.”

Miles, a member of the team throughout the project, also greeted the start of Regal on the Road opening at the John Peel Centre now that lockdown restrictions have eased.

On behalf of the Green & Liberal Democrat group at Mid Suffolk, Keith Scarff, Stowmarket District & Town Councillor said:

"I welcome the significant progress on site made by the team working under difficult conditions. The shape of the footprint is now clear and residents who have spoken to me continue to show a great deal of excitement & enthusiasm for our Towns new cinema. Upon completion we will have a facility that Stowmarket will rightly be proud of and it will complement the other arts & cultural offerings that continue to grow and make Stowmarket a great place to live, work and relax in.”
