First elected in May 2019, and then again in May 2023 as a District Councillor representing Bacton Ward.
First elected in May 2021 as a County Councillor representing Thedwastre North Division.
- Andy was elected Leader of the Green Group of District Councillors in June 2021
- Leader of Mid Suffolk District Council following taking majority control of the council in May 2023, and also Cabinet Member for Performance and Resilience
- He served on Wyverstone Parish Council from 2007, including a term as Chairman.
- His background is in agriculture, he runs a mixed farming business with several small parcels of land spread across several parishes.
- Previous experience includes six years working in education and development in Nigeria and Malawi.
- Andy studied at Writtle Agricultural college and later gained an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development from Imperial College.
- He is a promoter of grass-roots action to develop a sustainable society, pioneering Community Cafes and local food networks.
- Andy and his wife live on their smallholding in Wyverstone.
