‘Turning the Air Green’ – comedy and politics combine in Suffolk

TV’s ‘Mock The Week’ regular ANGELA BARNES headlines ‘Turning The Air Green’, a night of high class stand up comedy and satire at the Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds on Sunday 18th June 2023.

Barnes will perform her brand new show ‘Hot Mess’ direct from a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe, in a special double-header with MARTIN ROWSON, The Guardian’s senior cartoonist, whose own stage show ‘Drawn and Quartered’ is an illustrated guide to the history of British visual satire and political cartoons.

The pair of laughter makers are giving their services in aid of The Green Party which is using the evening to culminate a weekend of action across East Anglia. Funds from the event are going towards the campaign to elect party co-national leader Adrian Ramsay as the first Green MP in the East. He is its parliamentary candidate for the new North Suffolk constituency.
