EMMA BUCKMASTER

PROSPECTIVE PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE

FOR BURY ST EDMUNDS AND STOWMARKET

Emma Buckmaster

Emma Buckmaster will be standing as the Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for the new constituency of Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket, continuing the work done by Helen Geake over the past three General Elections.

  • Emma has lived in Suffolk for over forty years. She initially trained and worked as an economist, but more recently has established a reputation as an environmental artist.

  • Emma understands the needs of rural communities. She has worked with small businesses and farmers and knows how important their contribution is to a thriving economy.

  • Food and farming are at the core of Emma’s campaign. She is very aware of challenges facing the farming sector as well as the environmentalists concerns about biodiversity loss and climate change.

  • She is also clear that housing and transport policies must focus on the needs of local people. Our new Green-led council in Mid Suffolk is leading the way in offering fair, green solutions that make life better for all – and she wants to bring these ideas to Parliament too.

  • Emma is keen to meet and talk to people in the constituency about what is important to them. As a local school governor, she is closely involved with educational issues, and she is especially keen to hear the views of the younger voters in the area.
