First elected in May 2019 representing Gislingham Ward. Re-elected in May 2023.

  • Rowland is Chairman of Mid Suffolk District Council, since May 2023.
  • He has lived in Suffolk since 1980 and in Mellis since 1988
  • Rowland taught in Ipswich and then at Stowupland High School, finally retiring in 2012
  • He is a founder member of Mellis Cricket Club
  • Rowland was Parish Clerk for Thrandeston for 5 years
  • He is trustee for Mellis Memorial Hall
  • He works to put our communities on the route to a more sustainable and democratic future, not just for ourselves, but for generations stretching out into the future.
  • Rowland lives in Mellis
